Job Description


Responsible for maintaining and monitoring various functions in support of the accounts receivable and credit process.  This includes but not limited to customer reviews, invoicing, collections, deduction management, account adjustments and reporting.  This position also participates in the month–end closing process through the generation of general ledger entries, monthly reporting and account reconciliations.  Also Reviews expense reporting for compliance with company policy.  

Essential Duties and Responsibilities: 

  • Creates, edits, reviews and post invoices daily, including calculation of billed freight.
  • Enters credit notes, credit adjustment, and debit adjustments once proper approval has been received.
  • Enters and monitors account deductions until final resolution.
  • Assist with the collection of past due customer accounts using various forms of communication.
  • Reviews employee expense reports in accordance with company policy and submits the reports to Human resources for payment. 
  • Creates invoices for foreign consignment programs based on usage reports.
  • Prepares and maintains monthly journal entries.
  • Prepares and maintains monthly and quarterly account reconciliations.
  • Completes monthly reporting requirements relating to responsibilities.
  • Prepares initial credit file for new customers.
  • Enters new vendors and vendor changes.
  • Deposits miscellaneous cash received electronically.
  • Performs other duties as required.

Job Requirements

Education and/or Experience:    Bachelor’s Degree and 1-3 years related experience and/or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience.

  • Reasoning Ability:  Ability to apply common sense understanding to carry out detailed but uninvolved written or oral instructions.  Ability to deal with problems involving a few concrete variables in standardized situations.
  • Other Skills and Abilities:  Must be computer literate and able to work with programs such as Word, Excel, etc., and be able to learn and use HP programs such as e-mail, established programs, etc.
