PTC Alliance is a growing, fast-paced, mechanically advanced organization that provides value-added solutions to world-wide users of mechanical tubing.  PTC Alliance makes welded and cold-drawn steel tubing, tubular shapes, fabricated parts, precision components, and chrome plated rod.  This is not an "old steel pipe" business.  PTC Alliance is a fact-based, solutions-oriented company that has experienced extreme growth in recent years.  Some of PTC Alliance's major customers include steel service centers, automotive and truck manufacturers, construction and agricultural equipment OEM's and machinery and appliance makers.  We are recruiting energetic, high-level candidates that have a degree and experience in their specific fields.

PTC Alliance is seeking a Maintenance Manager with the primary responsibility for planning, directing, coordinating and managing the maintenance department of a production facility. Essential to the position is the organization and execution of a sound preventative maintenance program including all project work, internal and external building and grounds maintenance and machine repair.  Heavy metals and factory experience required.

The successful candidate will work closely with the plant departments, Plant Operations, Safety Supervisor and Quality Manager. The position reports to the Plant Manager. The successful candidate will oversee all required training for unionized trade and craft employees, work with outside vendors and keep a properly managed and inventoried storeroom.

Job Requirements

Minimum Education and/or Experience Requirements: 

  • Bachelor’s Degree in Engineering or equivalent experience in Maintenance
  • Must have supervisory experience of maintenance staff
  • Must have experience in steel or automotive working with union employees
  • Must have excellent electrical and mechanical troubleshooting skills and experience


Number of Direct Reports:  5-10            

Skills and Abilities: 

  • Must have good problem solving and decision making skills
  • Must be able to communicate to all levels of the organization
  • Must be able to succeed and contribute in a team environment.
  • Must have knowledge of a metals factory and its environments
  • Must have good computer skills in Word, Excel, Power Point, and Outlook


Certificates, Licenses, and Registrations: 

A valid driver’s license is preferred for business travel.
